I have a curious mind. I like to question. I am an autodidact. I would go a bit crazy if I didn’t learn something new every day.
Most of my friends are not curious. They are like turtles hiding in their shells. Once in a while I will nudge them with an idea and they will poke their heads out, eyes bleary, and complain “Why are you disturbing my comfort?”
They are happy not to know things.
Comfort is often the enemy of inquiry, and by extension, critical thinking.
